What do you use?arches hot press watercolor block, sepia/red/black pitt pens, Sennelier shellac ink, Daniel Smith watercolour, Monarch silver & 23k gold leaf, escoda synthetic mongoose brushes, isabey isacryl brushes. Where can I buy your work? nen.bigcartel.com is my online storefront! Who are you influenced by? I'm influenced by my amazing friends who I do cons with-- hazel-thorn, nana-tilde-asterisk, Sweet-Bread, and many others. I grew up on the works of Yoshitaka Amano, Hiroaki Samura, and Yukito Kishiro. Additionally, I like Hans Bellmer, Etsuko Miura, Takato Yamamoto, Egon Schiele, Elizabeth McGrath, Ben Templesmith, and many artists from the Dada era. Can I use your work on [insert social networking site here]? You can use my work unedited on social networking sites with proper credits and links given. You may not alter my work for forum signatures, avatars, etc. Do you use reference? I use facial reference when I design characters so that I can create unique bone structure, but outside of that, my work is widely unreferenced. Except for when I poke and prod at my friends to see where their bones go. Did you go to school for art? I graduated with a BFA in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design, though I was working in galleries before I went to school. Do you go to conventions? Yes, I do mostly east coast conventions, but I sporadically go to California as well. |
