this is an epiphany,
my epiphany of
insurrection
of a faster face
of dirty glass glances

& scattered debris.

i want
for my kind
to be the kind
the languished kind
unkindled
alt
laughable
kind

burnt & surrendered

indistinguishable
et untrainable

kind.

the kind it takes to crush
sand to glass,
the heat
oh the heat

& the cold--

it'll cool
settle
entropize
polarize
&

instinctualize

the dead sufficed
insufflated
kind

the kind that burns on contact
and blows crisply away.

i want to know more than this.

the kind
of scrapes i've got
from cat clawing
from picking locks
from

crawling

elbows & knees,
too man

it was not surprisinge even when he choked.

footfall

a-tete-a-tete
AND HOW HE WISHED
fucking wished

the hollow of his cheek.

once upon a time when the world was still new,
all things were still.

the earth that my brother created
was a block,
a sphere carved from the hollow of his cheek
that he set down
unfurled
& dusted off
beneath our feet.

and though

all space lived in stasis,
all stasis lived in space,

the whole lot of us revolved
around a block of earth and the words of one brother.

when things changed,
we set the sun in the sky

with my sister's light
and my neverending folly.

luck spun the sky and then things changed.

the earth now moves
and we creatures,
vile as we are,
remain static.

the earth revolves around the sun,
in this world

smokescreened.

His door didn't seal.

The light leaked through in morse code. It was more dotted than dashed in the shady light of underground morning, smoky from that dirty chainsmoker mouth, chapped and broken from a night of second hand liquor and first hand regret.

He checked his watch. It didn't work.

Even after so long in the darkness, he still opened his eyes every now and again to check if the sun was still out.

He felt it. That mouth still gnawing at his throat, all docile words and violent farewells. Those fingers on his abdomen curling into his stomach and tearing.

His skin.

He coughed.

He was overdue.

^{this is swallow's profile for the new writing game, entropy. we'll accept auditions, but we're not actively recruiting. i was divided between putting this in collage and putting this in visual poetry-- but collage won out.

materials: xerox prints, watercolour, markers, journal paper, sharpies, various stickers, rubber cement, elmer's glue, scrapbook paper, border tape, gelly roller pens, quills.

the model is SHIZUMI from KAGEROU.

My favourite page is the fourth one, because of the writing on the knuckles. My least favourite is the 7th because the gel pen wasn't cooperating. 8D;;
